Hello everyone, my name is Leslie Heber. I live in Bellflower California, which is about 15 minutes from the beach side community of Long Beach.
I work at Long Beach City College as an Educational Technologist II/ HelpDesk Coordinator (ET for short). My primary job is to assist faculty in the use of technology in an instructional setting. I also provide support for the Distance Learning Web Coordinator and Distance Learning servers (instructional web sites, video and audio streaming). Finallly I hire, train and supervise student technologist for the Faculty, Staff and Distance Learning HelpDesk telephone hot line.

I love Long Beach. As I mentioned to you during our IM'ing, my sister lives close by at Redondo Beach. Home of Queen Mary, the Long Beach Grand Prix, and the beest Cambodian restaurants, it is quite a big city and a busy port. JetBlue flies into Long Beach for the more practical traveller. Weather is terrific too.
As an online prof, I find your occupation fascinating.
Week 1
Since part of my job is to work with Distance Learning instructors, I find being enrolled in an online course. Gives me a different perspective. I able to help the instructor to see the student side.
Although this is only the first week, I think this class will help me to answer technology question for the non technological person.
