Week 7 Reflection

On the topic of ERP's, I found myself questioning our school's ERP. I know we need to reevaluate our plan. I think sometimes schools neglect planning in general.

Out group met on Sunday, March 11 we discussed the project timetable. I think we will finish our case study before the due date. I fine one of the most challenging parts of the group case study is coordinating our group chats through 3 time zones. It seems we always want to meet during my dinner time. I finally solved the problem by using my notebook. I can chat cook at the same time. And now with day light savings tim, I can chat and barbeque at the same time.

Week 6 Reflection

I found the postings on Identity theft quite interesting. For the last 10 years, I have been shredding my financial documents. I even shred the invitations for new credit cards or refinancing your mortgage. I am not sure this is enough. Companies should not rely on your complete or partial Social Security Number. For each company, there should be a special identification code.

I just recently subscribe to DirectTV. When they ask for my full SSN, I refused. They were able to do a credit check with only the last four digits of my SSN. I think it's just the convince of using your SSN. The only way this is going to change will be when the public demands a change.

I think our group project is going well. We are on schedule. I am hoping we can use Impatica to narrate the ppt. The next time we meet, I will propose the idea of narrating the ppt.

Week 5 Reflection

I know the security issues on campus need to be addressed. I am not sure why our IT department has not come up with a better solution for resetting the password. I guess IT won't address the problem until there is a security breach.

This weeks topic has made me rethink my own passwords. How can I create secure passwords for my online accounts? The problem with making my password more secure, I will not be able to remember the password. As far as I know, no one has been able to hack into my online accounts. So, I will have to stick to my password naming convention for now.
